Why You Should NOT Start Dropshipping (BAD NEWS)

Today I take you step by step through the pros and cons of Dropshipping on Shopify. A lot has changed recently inside the industry, and it requires us to do things differently.

Ecommerce payment processor are now stricter with their chargeback rate threshold and it’s more difficult to get new merchant accounts opened. Customers are also getting smart, so you just need to make sure you adapt to these changes.

The biggest issues with Dropshipping usually step from these 3 things:
– Poor product quality (usually people source off AliExpress and don’t check quality).
– Long Shipping times (usually due to AliExpress shipping times being long, but also Covid has made this time longer).
– Bad customer support. You need to have a place for your customers to reach you and actually get a response.

So if you want to Dropship, you need to be a lot more careful with sourcing products, what supplier you chose and how you communicate with your customers. It’s still a great business model, but you just have to do it a little bit different.
